My Dream Life told in Rihanna Pictures...
People love to ask questions like, "What would your dream job be?" or, "What would you rather be doing with your life" or even, "If you walk in your true purpose what would that look like?". I usually respond back with cute safe answers, but if I'm being honest, a day in the life of my true self would look something like this...
I would wake up, spend time of solitude with God, hear directly from him about what I need to do today and then have my makeup done by my team, something light, nothing crazy. I would put on my glam robe and sashay out into the luxurious hallways of my home.
Feeling beautiful, bold, confident and powerful, I would walk happily into the thing that lights my heart on fire the most......fighting for the people.
I would look down on this world that I am in charge of ruling. I would stand there and demand that workers are paid what they are worth, slaves and the oppressed are set free, that all businesses that lack passion and purpose and only serve to take advantage of the poor be shot---I mean, put out of business, that children are well fed and well educated, that everyone who needs health care gets the best and finest holistic care my world has to offer, all community organizations are funded to the max, that everyone has what they need and then criminals who rob, rape and murder senselessly will be shot....ok....just shot at (*insert eyeroll* God, you people keep silently judging me) I mean, in my world, good things are given out freely, there's no need to do shady sh*t to get them.
After a hard days work, and unlimited mimosas and my brunch buffet, I will look through my mail...no bills of course....just letters of appreciation from my people, roses, paintings, jewels and shoes.....I will listen to the best hip hop and inspirational talks out of my gold headphones during this time.
I will then go out and enjoy the beauty of my day. Cuddle with cute little kids and watch Disney movies, take a ride on my yacht, go swimming, drink cocktails in the Jacuzzi, spend time with family and friends (90s hip hop cookout! yesss!), have my people throw a day party or block party, invite people over to spend time in heaven on earth (my home), shop, maybe travel real quick, get a massage, go on a nice date, write a book maybe, or just relax.
At the end of my day, at sunset, I will convene again with God to see what he has for me to say to the people. I will sit on my balcony in another fine robe and heels and I will meet one on one with people who have appointments and help them to navigate what their true purpose is and how to get there. I would show them that they have the same power that I have, that in their own way, they can fight for the people and change the world just like me.....then we will eat some hot wings.
Now it is time to relax with the one I love and enjoy the rest of the night.....and sleep peacefully, not worried about the now and definitely not worried about what lies before me tomorrow. God is in complete control and he's leading me and guiding me. I sleep knowing that every day I am making this world a better place, living lavishly and being appreciated for all I do. By the way my home will smell like essential oils, fresh herbs and roses. Oh and the kitchen will always smell like soul food and other ethnic varieties. Oh and I aint fighting no other countries, we all gon use our own damn resources and work together to better us all. No competition...all unity. The only war will be against the tyrants and oppressors who just lie, destroy, manipulate, steal from and kill innocent people. Now those tyrants can be shot........at :) The end.
Now I know this seems extravagant but to me it doesn't. Maybe in heaven, my life will be something like this? Either way, we can walk around just like this daily. I can wake up to pray, do my own makeup (ugh not as glam, but ok), sashay out of my luxurious apartment and drive to work with confidence, while I'm at work I can fight relentlessly for the people as if I have that same power as in my vision, I can't shoot at people though. Then I can listen to music from my white apple headphones, still some quality music though, and no fan mail yet (dangit!). I may not have a fine robe or heels like that but I can spend some time at the end of the day with one on one life coaching, thennnnnn I can relax at home with the one I love, and my apartment does smell like essential oils! Its my reality, but the power of my true self, my inner vision, is what can fuel and drive you in your reality. So......who is your true self? That powerhouse inside you?
